Are you allowed to book part weeks holiday leave?

As it says really, we are only allowed to book full weeks, just wondering if this is right?

logic says....bollox.....im given 23.5 days a year....if that was right id only be allowed to book 4 weeks and loose 3 1/2 days.


ive booked 4 weeks this year and used 3 days weds thurs,,fri just after the new year,,,,because there was space that week.

no totally wrong why can you not book single days.

Every office is different depends on what the local agreements are but generally you can't book spare days or part weeks until everyone has booked their full weeks holidays

if you took it to the extreme everyone has at least 28 days leave, so if you just wanted to take 1 days leave a week say every Monday that would block 28 weeks off for 1 reserve for people to take a full weeks leave that week, that wouldn't work so great hence full weeks are generally booked first then whatever left can be split

In my office if we want a few days off we won't get them. So book a full week off, then cancel the days unrequired

I've asked about this plenty of times, i believe it was introduced by payroll a couple of years ago but i've never been allowed to book a hours holiday

You should be able to get a form request for off days off. Not surprised many people don't know, managers hide it from us
