been working for royal mail now as an opg for 12 months im on a 16 hour contract but since i started i have been working 6 days delivery every week and 5 nights on collection every week i dont mind the work as the money is good when i get it but recently over the last 7 weeks my pay has been wrong and wrong every week i tell the manager every week and he says he will put it in next week but its just getting worse every week i even wrote my hours down last week and what hours i was owed for him and it was still wrong today when i received my payslip in total i am now owed 26 hours that has not been payed to me should i refuse to work my day off next week as my pay is still wrong and if not corrected next friday say i only want to work my contracted hours until my pay is corrected as this is the only way i can see me getting my hours back and i know this will affect the office as we are short staffed

You need to sit down with your manager at the PSP computer program and go through each week and figure out where you are short. If you're doing that much OT you should have kept a day to day written record of what you've done.

Well I would do like you say and don't work any more OT until it's fixed, not much point in working for free.

The only way you'll get your money is if you kick up a stink..refuse to do any more overtime and you'll soon be paid the outstanding amount. Otherwise you can forget about it, your manager already has.

Write a pleasant letter to your manager confirming that you have pay issues and that you have sat down with him and tried to sort this out but without a result. As this is money that is being withheld illegally, point out to him that if the matter cannot be resolved to your satisfaction then you will have no alternative but to contact the DSM informing him that you will be raising this matter in the SMALL CLAIM COURT and personally hold him responsible for getting this matter sorted out.
You will be paid very quickly, however because you will have raised your head above the parapet be prepared for a backlash. That should not deter you from getting what is rightly yours and as long as you continue to do your job according to the rules they will soon get fed up and leave you alone and go and piss off some other poor sod.
