Just a reminder that CWU officers do visit this site, as with all other members they are anonymous and we don't know their true identity. Therefore all members are reminded that they are responsible for what they post and comments of a personal nature will not be welcome, and may end up in dismissal if it goes outside RMC.

This is a pre-warning as so far nothing too contentious has been posted. Keep it polite and constructive and we will have no problems.

point noted. nothing untoward....just my opinion, and to ask if he's ever done a delivery. and because he is looking at growing the workload. them at the top obviously are out of touch with the actual delivery staff.

Bob gibson says," to protect full time jobs is to boost work loads through new activities".

What is becoming of the union saying such nonesense..

The only boost in his comment is posties being admited to hospital from injuries sustained from over loaded work loads forced onto staff...

I think they should start with boosting the workload of those not doing enough... Then if people are still not working their contractual hours then it should be looked at - on a regular basis; and vice versa!

Instead of him waffling on about saving jobs which is a good thing and I see his point. Why doesn't he address the point that most staff are not using trolleys not, not taking breaks, not doing van checks, the list goes on. It's these people who are putting jobs at risk and putting the health and safety of there colleagues at risk. As the company is using said people against staff who do the job properly. Ie if he can do it why can't you.

I agree with your quote. The leadership cannot continue to " HIDE " behind HR procedure, which by design fails the membership who have valid grievances. Complainants are often encouraged to drop such complaints with a promise of jam tomorrow or changes will occur, alas the treatment continues unabated., and more to the point unchallenged. Bob Gibson needs to get pro-active with the constant stream of similar complaints raised on this forum on a ridiculously regular basis. The staff - generally speaking - are being bullied by draconian management tactics on a national level. Not isolated or rare problems, they are mainly the same type that drag the morale of a workforce down with the impression that our leaders do not care !! Come on Bob - if you do in fact read any of these posts, as has been suggested by admin - get to work on the basics of this form of intimidation. Then, and only then, will the member's feel that you do in fact have some interest in their workplace situations and gain their respect - which is being stretched to the limit on a daily bases.

Grow some balls man.

Work to your time, take your breaks, don't over load your bags, don't rush round. Then when you find you can't manage your last loop (or two or three) walk up to your manager with your new balls and say ' I can't manage this today, I'm going to have to leave X or Y'.

Got it? Simples.

post of the day.
overtime is not compulsory.
I understand the pressure one can come under working your hours & nomore (even though your doing nothing wrong) but once you've done it a few times the managers kind of get the picture & a good manager will start trying to help & give assistance!

Agree with what you said, but in our office all the managers would have long gone home by the time we return to the office

my balls are big enough,,,don't worrybout that....im in there most days telling him exactly what we're leaving, because my driver hates confrontations. the very point is though, the union hierarchy don't seem to think we have enough work. they are out of touch with front line staff. plus there is staff day in and day out handing stuff back only to be quoted figures, how much mail they have, and they should be out by now.....its boiling me piss.
