So we know if everyone worked till their time if wouldnt work, there would be mountains of mail and packets undelivered. So why dont we arrange a day where we work to our time on a national level, to make a point to the guys upstairs that its not possible to do so?
Now I Know everyone should be doing that anyway, but lets not pretend thats going to change any time soon unless drastic action is taken, So lets get a movement going or something? This needs to be sorted out, time to take the power back

Working to your time is classed as industrial action. The Cwu did do a "do your job properly" campaign a while back but it's pointless.
Rm culture is every man/woman for himself. Just look at these forums. Part timers forever moaning about full timers. Reserves always moaning about duty holders and vice verse.
I'd quite like to see a "stop pissing and moaning about your colleagues" day. That would make a nice change!

How is working to your time classed as industrial action??
Its what Royal Mail managers want everyone to do!! Those who often finish early not only spoil it for everyone else with additional absorption - but it also creates extra pressure for managers, particularly on busy days, when a lot of staff want to work to their time and drop the lapsing.

doing it singly isn't, organising it, trying to get others to do it, or doing it as a group outside of agreements and official ballots, can all be deemed as unofficial industrial action.

A stop pissing and moaning day wouldn't happen, you'd get people starting it 2 hours early hoping to end a non pissing and moaning day in the early afternoon.

Most in my office wouldn't dream of working to their time, either because they are unaware of the cut off procedure or they don't want hassle from the DOM. Not only that but more and more people are given 20hr contracts now and simply can't afford not to do overtime.
