Does anybody know of any cases where somebody hasn't been sacked for wilful delay?

state we are in with rounds not going out left right and centre i personally dont know how the hell the company can do anyone for wilfull delay of mail !!!

Not personally, but seen a few given the boot for doing it

I remember when I first started I was part of a group that had to take out the mail they found in somebodies garage, about 20 sacks! And this was the days when we had 1 or 2 packets at the most for a full round, it was all mail and iirc, 2 lots of Sky magazines! :shock:

You dont need to worry.. the whole company is wilfully delaying mail on a daily basis....

The year is 2015... by 2020... none of us will be writing

Check out our news forum,it's rife,you spineless managers are ruining this company.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Can think of a couple in our office. Remember one guy having thousands of items in his garage. It was a colleague who alerted management otherwise the gormless gits in charge wouldn't have had a clue. Another guy got sacked for dumping mail in the river and in a skip. Think a customer alerted management when the mail was floating by his house!

These guys were obviously sacked

Not if you followed the "Overunning deliveries procedure", but yes if you don't.

We had a guy who kept mail in his car boot. He got sacked. I don't know how they found out it was there.

I can beat that :P Before shared vans, we had a guy drive his car onto the loading bay to load his bags into his boot. He lfited his boot lid just as the DOM was going past and the DOM clocked a load of undelivered boor to doors :d'oh! Needless to say, after a short investigation he got canned. :no no

We had someone take photos of the barcodes in the collection boxes so he didn't have to wait, management found out but he didn't get in trouble :shock:
