Mental Wednesday....

Dunno about you but it was horrendous today. Packets, parcels, mail the lot. For the first time in ages there was an O/T sheet left on the manager's desk for us to fill in. Went 1 hour over as did many others. Usual 'you bloody WILL take the lapsing' and "OK, fine, I'll ring at 13:00 to advise whether we'll have time to actually complete then...". Repeat this conversation down all the aisles and lo and behold! the office dolly prints out a docket sheet with the naysayers' names on to claim their over-hours. At least a dozen on there when I went home with more still to come back....

Then, we heard the manager tell people that due to a forecast 1/3 drop in volume next week (basically down from insane levels of today to a usual heavy week) they were going to put Summer Lapsing back on.......FFS!!!!

I was told today that next week lapsing will be on Tuesday and Thursday as apparently they have a crystal ball and those two days will be quiet!! Only 20000 instead of 40000, how do they know/guess that??

O/T sheet left on table , book what you like .... went in to Callers Office.. poor lad is doing his head in ..more items on shelfs than Christmas time . No one got time to deliver to neighbours....!!
