Moving bad managers instead of firing them

Why is it when a boss is shown to be totally incompetent including breaking many legal laws, breaking Royal Mail codes, firing women for no reason( then has to reinstate her as he monumentally cocked up.......) etc etc
Why is he not fired and why does he find that he has been rewarded with a nice cushy number somewhere else to work? Surely getting rid of the flotsam would have been a much better idea all round!!! You can't rebuild a wreck lol

Obviously the company views that persons actions as good for business. They don't recognise bullying and harassment from management, only from the rank and file that they'd like to get rid of. Royal Fail codes are there to be ridden roughshod over if it is expedient.

Yep, our DSM changes ever month. When will they just accept the whole business model is a mess?

It was ever so. In my time at RM I saw rubbish postmen and women going on to PHG grade, rubbish PHG's going on to be managers. These managers rarely stayed at their original office, no doubt because it was known they wouldn't get any respect whatsoever, as most people knew their history. So they went elsewhere, cocked up big time, moved to another office, did the same again, and again, and again. But never once was one demoted back to postman / PHG.

Hi ,The same as always ,no use as managers ,lets move them up,when is this company going to actually do something about bullies and harassment not just the managers at fault,area managers promise one thing and then completely ignore it,Reps who become lino's ,useless as posties .useless at reps,need I go further,
