It all depends on what your complaining about, ie someone might complain about a manager holding back a york of mail, on the face of it the postie may think it's wrong and wilful delay and then complain to moya, but if that manager has completed the appropriate paperwork, and kept his manager informed then it is perfectly acceptable and when investigated by moyas team they would then email back to say nothing wrong

You need to make sure that the complaints going to moya are actual legitimate complaints, just because. Postie doesn't think it's right doesn't mean it's a complaint where the manager is doing something that's actually wrong

Also if your office is failing daily, how does that actually affect you? End of the day you only need to work your contracted hours anything over and above that is completely your choice,

I am talking about complete incompetence to run an office across the board. Duties uncovered, overtime unpaid, holidays mis allocated, incomplete daily rotas, removing staff from their signed for walks if they refuse to work extended, calling people back to the office mid way through their duty to take hours worth of extra work back out with them and abusing the conduct code when they can not complete even after being told... the list goes on..and on.

But much of that is common practice in offices across the country such that many of us have little confidence in our managers.
Not much we can do about it individually, that's what trades unions are for.

The things that effect your directly you yourself could put in a grievance. Other than that if you can get enough others to agree to speak collectively then get the Area Rep to handle the case. There is an official word for a group grievance but the life of me I can't remember it. However, people will have to put their names to it, and when that's usually when those with less fortitude bail.

It's not things that are persoal to me really, I tend to be left well alone and to my own devices as I do stand up, however the place is so badly run it does have an impact on me . So I need to chat with the Area Rep and find out about this group grievence.

Any Union Guys know what this JPS is? We had a particular Manager that's moved on at present, but I've got a feeling we're going to get him back in the near future.

This guy gives Incompetence a bad name. If he returns and tries his usual tricks I'd certainly consider this JPS...whatever it is!

Very few offices I would say, would say they are happy with the way their office is run. You have to consider though that your dom also has to answer from above and they are putting more and more unrealistic expectations on how much work can be done by fewer and fewer posties. What is lacking is the amount of doms with the kahooners to speak up and say enough, we simply cannot manage our office on the hours you give us. Of course, they are fearful of losing their jobs. How does it make sense to have 4 linos on linos wages essentially doing a posties job, prepping and delivering on a daily basis? As a Shareholder and a postie I don't think the future of rmg looks too bright if this continues. Service is already suffering with walks failing to go out daily in most offices, it won't be long before business customers look elsewhere. Something needs to be done. We just need more staff! Rather than have posties going home 30 mins early on a light day, seems they would rather fail mail on busy days. Moya needs to get a grasp of the situation and have a rethink because the current strategy just isn't working.

FFS don't do that, share price will plummet, no more investment money will come our way and the end of royal mail will be swift. And we'll all be out of a job. Think allot of the public kinda twigg somethings up when they don't see their postie one day and the next they get twice the normal mail.
