Track and Trace Query

I had to run a Track & Trace search today on a Special Delivery 9am item.

The item arrived in with the usual Sd items, bagged with dun note as per norm.
The item was received and allocated and taken out for delivery. It was then P739'd and returned to our DO and allocated correctly to the callers.

However, when i ran it through T&T it showed up roughly as follows:
All scans after being received into our DO were normal and correct.

Next was the normal scan at the local mail center 04.51 2/9 . Mail center.

Next were about 3 scans from a mail center various times through early evening 1/9 elsewhere in the country(obviously en route)

Then there was a scan that said 15.36 1/9 Ready for delivery with our PDO listed

It's that scan on 1/9 at 15.36 that i'm concerned about.
It makes no sense. It certainly wasn't scanned in my DO on that day at that time (we closed at 2pm and i was in RLE and one of last to leave).
I realise that a PDA can have any office code in reality - but why would this be done?
Would this show up as a failure against our DO?

I brought it to my DOM's attention - there was actually 2 9am SD items showing similar unusual scans against our DO.
Our DOM is very inexperienced and said he would raise it with the DSM as it sounds very suspect, but wondered if anyone could shed any light into this?

Have any of your PDAs gone missing? It might have turned up in another office

I also thought only IT could change a site code on a PDA as you need the challenge code in order to change a site ID.

As for a PDA going missing - whilst it could explain it there were 2 Sd items coming via 2 completely different mail centers and sent from completely different parts of the country - so unlikely to be that.

My DOM is going to try and get the info via Blackbay - hopefully the GPS location of the first scan will help to trace where it actually was.
