HSBC customers not paid after IT glitch
HSBC has said that approximately 275,000 payments have been affected by an IT glitch.
It has led to many people not being paid ahead of this weekend's bank holiday.
The bank said it was working with other banks to ensure that customers did not lose out as a result of the problem.
"We are taking immediate steps to ensure the payments reach beneficiaries as quickly as possible," the bank said in a statement.

The BBC understands the issue concerns the information used by HSBC to process some payments, rather than a problem with the Bacs payments system itself. Bacs is used by all UK financial institutions for funds transfers.
Customers of other banks who were expecting payments such as wages from HSBC accounts have not received them.

Had an account with them in hong kong in the 80s, we knew them as Horribly Slow Banking C**** . Looks like they are still living up to their name.

My Sons employer uses HSBC and he didn't get paid. Those employee's who were at work on the Friday were given a cash in hand advance. My son was off that day.

wages ok, but a bet won friday still not in, usually goes in next day, managed to take my stake out quick enough!
