Nicked from a London DIV rep a while ago.
When a disagreement is registered it is now legally binding.
Management cannot ignore the disagreement and every month the Div Reps and IR manager review all disagreements which have been registered to ensure they are being addressed in line with the agreed timescales.
Once you have registered the stage 1 disagreement and you have alerted the Area there must be a meeting to attempt to resolve this within one week.
If it cannot resolved then it moves to a stage 2 with the DSM and Area Rep and again there is a one week timescale.
If it cannot then be resolved then it goes to the Div Rep and Delivery Director then to National HQ level and then even to external mediation.

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Does the rep have to be involved to lodge a disagreement? I'd love to just hand over a sheet of paper like that to the boss with all the info done, being just a lowly serf. I did that once with a dog attack form (which I got off this site) and the surprise at my knowledge of correct procedure was... extreme! I think they like it when we're as stupid like we're supposed to be!

Yes you have to be a rep, a disagreement is a withdrawal of union support more commonly used but not limited to During revisions!

So when a disagreement is put in say for example because they have tried to force ppls start times to change without agreement then the start times should stay how they were until the issue is resolved?

If you mean an individual grievance then these are routinely ignored by our local management, I suppose that is due to lack of interest in them by the local reps who get a copy, but never follow them up.

I put a grievance in on behalf of our office with no involvement of the Union (but with lots of info from RMC, thank you
