Not sure if this has been covered before..... Can a part-timer on 20 hours per week apply for a full time position ?

i'd be interested to know how you have arrived at this zx, my understanding is that a ft would take preference over a pt and seniority does not play a part.

Where a full-time post is advertised internally, it will be available to all full-time employees and part-time employees, who have opted for full-time employment, in that resourcing unit.  The posts will be filled on the basis of ‘most senior individual'.  Where a part-time post is advertised internally, it will be available to all employees as above and filled in the same way.

Quite simply no. get your application in (if you want one of the vacancies) and your rep to lodge a disagreement about it.
