Family friendly hours
I am currently a 24 hour wed-sat part time postie. Contract hours are 8.15-2.15. From September though I will have to do the school run as wife is a teacher in a different school. Where would I stand if I was to ask to change hours to 9-3. Or if they can't could I go down to Saturday only postie?

Re: Family friendly hours
You would have to put your request in writing to your dom, it may be granted. Let it be known that if not you may have to drop hours as he may want to keep you if you're a good postie and may grant your wish.

Re: Family friendly hours
As a back up considering the children go back to school in a few weeks, I would check out the breakfast clubs or childminders who drop off at your children's school.

Thank you for comments. Breakfast club not really an option. She is only 3. Also I have a 7 month old thy I would have to get ready and drop to childminders as well.
