Specials with partially missing barcodes
Has anyone else been getting Amazon specials with the first 3 digits missing?

Re: Specials with partially missing barcodes
We've been getting them through the NIMC. The managers don't seem to know what to do with them. Some are put through with the First Class and some in with the SD's.

They came in in separate bags with a label saying they hadn't been scanned. There weren't as many on Friday so maybe Amazon have sorted out the problem.

Maybe it would have been nice to let the DOs know, especially when I went to a door and tried to scan one in.Tired and Weary wrote:They came in in separate bags with a label saying they hadn't been scanned. There weren't as many on Friday so maybe Amazon have sorted out the problem.

Re: Specials with partially missing barcodes
The correct procedure should have been ;-
Any Sd items received into the RLE with a undecipherable barcode should have a new SD sticker applied and then allocated to delivery duty under the new barcode.
Sd items found outside of receipt into RLE should be handed into RLE, a new SD barcode put on and scanned as out of course and then allocated under the new barcode.
That covers us should anything go amiss.
If the barcode is not replaced then if anything happens to the item there is no way of tracking it and if it goes amiss how do you prove to the customer the reason for no trace is their barcode was unreadable?

But then they still wont be traceable, not that it really matters, manager made the decision so it's on his head.Mezza wrote:The correct procedure should have been ;-
