Big increase in parcels, mostly tracked/Large boxes

Has anyone elses offices been hit by a big increase in parcels over the last couple of weeks, mainly this one?

over the past 3 days ive had more tracked then I would normaly have in a week, its getting stupid now, its so time consuming now with first time delivery.

Also I dont know what parcel force are doing, but We are getting alot of big sized boxes, is this normal?

Yes,today our office was overrun with packets,lots of large ones.Just happened to coincide with the re-introduction of lapsing....6 days a week,still;if you ain't got the time you ain't got the time...

Yeah huge Amazon tracked/delivered scanned parcels - one parcel takes up half the room in the back of a Vauxhall combi

Yea our office got hit bad with tracked over the last two days. Some huge boxes too, something is definitely going on....

According to the product specification for Tracked items there is no weight or size limit to what items can be sent using the service only that the poster can post sufficient items per year to use the service. When Tracked started my manager said that if a company could guarantee to post enough items a year then in theory they could post washing machines or fridges using the service. God help us if they ever did that. We frequently get items that weigh over 15Kg and we had one on a york the other week that had a beware sticker on it that said the item weighed 25Kg.

What can you send?

With Royal Mail Tracked 24 you can send items weighing up to 15kg and measuring up to 61cm x 46cm x 46cm(1).

Customers who send over 300,000 items per annum with Royal Mail can send parcels weighing up to 20kg and measuring up to 0.129 cubic metres.

(1) For tube-shaped items, the length of the item plus twice the diameter must not exceed 104cm, with the greatest dimension being no more than 90cm.
