MRM:New conduct process goes live next week

The new conduct process goes live from next Monday (3 August). The single process replaces the existing four codes and focuses on informal resolution. It will follow a new approach to precautionary suspension, which should only be used in serious situations.

Before making a decision to suspend, managers should consider the risks and consequences to the business, then get advice from HR Advice and Support.

The definitions of delay – unintentional, unexcused and intentional - have also been clarified.

Joint training is currently taking place for managers in Operations and union reps.

Copies of the Conduct agreement, policy and guides will be available from Monday 3 August. Speak to your manager if you would like a copy.

Any conduct case started before Monday 3 August, will be dealt with under the old Conduct Code.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
