longs and shorts
Hi has anyone recently gone through their revision and still remained on a straight 7 hour 48 day X 5? Just they want to bring in longs and shorts into our unit but i am unsure if we are being given the whole truth from our rep as he says this is standard hourage now.

Re: longs and shorts
Make sure you agree your attendance pattern first ie 1 in 4 or 1 in 6 etc before you agree to longs and shorts as the pattern you work has a bearing on whether longs and shorts are needed/appropriate the office should get a vote on attendance patterns first

Lets say you have Monday off and you are FT.Spartacus wrote:7 hours 36 minutes on a Monday, Tuesday and Saturday.

That means your "longs and shorts" is giving you a 39 hour and 12 minute week. Your contracted working week is 39 hours. You should be claiming 12mins o/t if you work to time each day. ;)

If you aggregate it over a four week period you will work 156 hours.

Re: longs and shorts
Indeed but we are paid weekly not monthly so you shouldn't be aggregating it.Spartacus wrote: If you aggregate it over a four week period you will work 156 hours.
Out shorter Tuesdays are now sometimes out busiest day in terms of getting a move on to finish in time.
