International Specials.

If a internatonal special delivery item (the ones that have to delivered by 5:30pm) fails to be scanned at the delivery point whether it be delivered or undelivered, does this show up on the system the same way as a normal UK special 1pm delivery does? I'm curious because I have numerous international packets on my walk that loom identical to some special internationals. Some with signatures. Some without.

Any international specials which need to be done (by 1pm) will be handed to you by the locker just the same as your normal specials and yes their failures show up exactly the same as the uk ones.

There was something in the courier a while back asking the same question about the times of international items to be scanned by and they said there is no time on them as long as you scan them in on the day you get them.Think Moya said it

we do get given them by our locker. i just wondered if they show up as failures and what not the same way a standard special does?

The international ones don't look like normal specials, they are just treated as them, if your locker is handing them out then that is the international ones for the special bags and they do require to be delivered by 1pm we have no other product with a delivery time other than 9am or 1pm any other time you are being told is made up

this is what we told our boss, however he said they are coming out of the locker as specials so they should be treated as such.


sometimes no signature required, they have said they need to capture the signature to get paid, so why not treat as tracked? seems to be a bit of a mix up?

i dont know then. not sure why none of us have had failures for delivering after 1pm if they are meant to be treated the same. who knows.

Our office is roughly split between driving duties and HCT, all domestic specials are delivered by the vans in case the HCT won't make it before the deadline. All foreign "specials" are issued to the HCT duties as they are not time dependent and just have to be delivered that day.

I've had two identical packages going to the same address, both required scanning but one was issued as a special the other just came through as normal parcel, the value printed on the outside was identical too

If u receive a international special from the locker, it isn't guaranteed for 1pm so do not take notice of ur boss, how can it be guaranteed by 1pm when it is taken days to get here in the first place

we deliver many internationals after 13.00. never been pulled up for a failure yet
