Royal Mail Payroll Failure

Morning All,
We have received information from Royal Mail that they have experienced an issue with their Payroll and none of their staff will be paid tomorrow.
The senior lead team are currently in talks discussing a process by which the staff will be able to pick up a percentage of their wages from Post Office branches so potentially we may need to increase funds going out tomorrow by anything up to xxxxxxxxx
We are awaiting final detail on the actual process that is going to be agreed, but it is likely that we will need additional services for Crowns that don't already have a scheduled services for tomorrow and possibly Saturday ( I will contact depots with these shortly) and the values dispatched on scheduled services for tomorrow will be higher.
Due to the number and location of the Crown offices it is likely that other branches will also be able to make these payments but again this has yet to be confirmed.
I will keep you updated on the progress but at this point please can you be aware of this and at least ensure that Crowns are prioritised today and tomorrow.

Just spoke to Ray Ellis acting DGSP he has been informed that 50% have been paid manually and some members will find that their wages have already been paid early.
The remainder is being worked on and the bank deadline is midnight tonight those who have not been paid which we hope there aren't any will be able to receive a proportion of their wages.
Comms will be issues early tomorrow once we have more information.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been. Mine was in at 9.30 last night. They really need to make sure everyone is paid by 3pm because I'm sure there are others like me that have payments go out every Friday.
