Special delivery

Had a special today to return to the sender as the person he had sent it too had gone away,it was near the end of my delivery and my pda crashed it wasn't scanned till after 1pm he wasn't there anyway is this deemed as a failure ?

Doesn't matter. the 1PM deadline is only for the first attempt at delivery. collection or attempts at re-delivery or indeed a RtS are NOT time sensitive.

Seems clear to me. The item was guaranteed for delivery (initial delivery) by 1pm after the original day it was posted. I imagine your late RTS scan would flag it up as a failure on the system and questions may, and probably should be, asked about it. However, the service paid for was clearly provided on its initial attempted delivery.

Nonetheless, I've had RTS specials and have made sure to deliver them by 1pm - who needs a false failure flagging up and some jobsworth coming around the next day to quiz them about it? Not me.
