Job sharing and seniority

How would you go about a repick when two members of different lengths of service wish to move to a jobshare?

How would seniority be used in allocating a job share?

Do they even go in the repick or is a duty assigned beforehand?

Hi when i went on job share i as the senior picked the duty we wanted i got this confirmed from union head quarters that the senior of the job sharers signs for the duty .

Thats how we do job share picks in our office.

This should be normal practice but will become an issue when senior 'sharer' leaves Role as that moves other part-time OPG to their correct place on seniority list, i.e. they do not automatically 'pick-up' the duty (even if in some cases they have performed it for years) because they gained it by virtue of the other 'sharers' seniority not their own.
