For Employee 'shareholders' our shares are currently held by Equiniti in trust (as part of the terms of issue) you will receive a letter from Equiniti notifying you of the date and time of the AGM. This is to be held in Cardiff on the 23rd July at the Marriot Hotel. If you don't attend in person you have to return the voting form to Equiniti asking their proxy to vote how you wish. In practice, since most people will not do this, most votes from Employees will be voted by Equiniti as they wish. Went to the NEC last year (took day's Leave), most interesting part was the fact that Shareholders get to question the Board. As usual at these things the Board's Resolutions sailed through 90% plus. As for the Union issuing Guidelines.....would like to believe that Colleagues won't be selling shares the minute they can however, the fascination with the share price on the RM Groupthink screen in the canteen suggests I may be wrong. Where those shares (and those the Government just offloaded) end up may very well decide the long=term direction of the firm, do not believe for one moment that large City investment funds will care one hoot about the employees if return on investment at stake.
