Protected duties in resign

Post by Bahia Feliz »

They(union rep) are saying that 2 late duties 11 till 7 can be withdrawn from the re-sign but are not saying exactly why? The duty content has changed on both duties but not the hours?
Is there any national agreement regarding this please?

Duties can be held back if it is to accommodate someone with an equalities act issue, other than that the only way to hold it back would be if absolutely nothing in the duty content had changed, ie hours or actual content. You need to get him to tell you exactly why these duties are not in the resign and then get him to put in a disagreement with it if appropriate and if he won't do it go above him to the area rep etc

Are these duties anything to do with the locker room, eg PHG's.
There are certain duties like these in our office and the only way you can sign for them is when someone leaves/retires etc.

These 2 duties are both normal collection duties, not disability act or anything. The hours may have stayed the same but the duty content has changed on each duty!
