Bank Holiday's (Paid or day back) ????

Hi all ....... just wondering but have been speaking to a mate who is in the neighbouring delivery office. He said that on the last bank holiday he was on leave, but there is some confusion as to why his holiday allowance hasn't been credited back the 1 day? He did say that there are talks about being paid the day ...... as to not accrue MORE holiday time which their office are struggling to clear. Has anyone else had/heard of this?
I said I'd ask for him as he's not too techno for this .... ......

any help or advice on this would be appreciated .....

U dnt get bank holiday credits or days back when youre on leave your paid your full hours for that week whether full or part time

If you are on annual leave when a bank holiday falls you should be automatically credited a days leave in lieu.
This bank holiday is part of your yearly leave entitlement and is yours to decide what to do.
The only thing the manager can influence is if you can have it on what day due to office leave allocation being full for particular periods.

At my office you don't get a day in lieu if you're on holiday during a bank holiday week, they just take 4 days off your holiday instead of 5
