Those times are absolutely ridiculous.
Who can put together 6 d2d and prep them in the frame in 22 minutes.
I've never seen anyone do it and neither can I so tell me what am I doing wrong

Actually looking again for 1/6th of 600 at that rate that's about 4 or 5 a minute for 6 lots seems ok. but if you are having to do them in blocks and have to prep them into your frame it takes a lot longer.we all know 6 or 7 d2d takes a lot of time up.
So what are the rates for 1,2,3,4 and 5 lots then?

Just a note why are the d2d preped into the delivery frame as this can compromise the integrity of the mail and can I sign for a delivery with 600 delay points they don't exist in my office!!!!

Just an example of how long it would take to prep that many.
Also how could you do a loop with 6 or 7 d2d in one bag with parcels and mail, you do not have the room and you shouldn't be loading 3 bags on a trolley.
As for putting them in the frame we were told to do it so mgmt knew they where being done and could see it.
That many in a frame is too many but with that many you have no choice but to do them in blocks of 1/6th whether you put them in the frame or not

Bear in mind if you can't match this rate there is no problem. If a manager is raising the issue the first thing he/she needs to do if you can't match that rate is look at the frame to see if there is a problem. Then they should look at working practices ie are d2d items at the frame ready, are they stored effectively so you can get at them quickly. Finally you should be coached to improve your speed. If you are a new starter it will take you weeks - 6-8 before you can be expected to be close to matching workers who have been there for years.

Common people, are you thick? Do them on columns rather than doing a whole loop at a time tut tut

ive always done them in columns.what i am saying is that after prepping 6 or 7 lots on a frame of 800 dp that are not single slots when you are prepping 2 frames it takes a lot longer.no need for the common people jibe you do the same job I do I asumme.

id sooner do them in columns,,,its easier,,,at the most you have 40 calls....
were not allowed...its gotta be loops,,,,some days its a slog.

there reason is ppl are missing of calls and they had a lot od d2d left over

I see where your coming from as you can in theory have a column with double slots having 40 D2D's and your partner on his loop with none.
Whatever way you do it , its better and faster working by yourself

BT 2010 agreement states that 1/6th of D2D's should be prepped and delivered on a daily basis, however the individual postie can decide to do this how he sees fit, providing all D2D's are delivered by end of duty on the Saturday.
