Reducing hours on flexible working

Hi would like to do a few less hours when I get to 60 what can we get in the way of flexible hours in a delivery office can you do just 3 days or job share

You could try buying down your hours. I'm full time and our dom put my details through his laptop (just as an example for the rest of the office), and I would get a £18,000 lump sum to reduce my hours from 39 hours a week to 21 a week. Mind you they're trying to slash hours in our office. This way at least you would be quids in.
Mind you, look carefully into it because it might affect your pension/ lump sum later on (I dont have a clue about that stuff). Someone on here will know the ins and outs of it. Good luck.

i am over 60 and on a 30 hr contract. i asked about the possibility of a 3 day a week contract and was told no chance we are trying to do away with those.

We have job shares in our office, but they do tend to be 24 hours, and people tend to work every other week, but there is not a problem if they both wanted to do 3 days a week. As the rest of the office does 1 in 6, then it should be no real problem. I'd expect anyone who wanted to job share, as long as they are both ready, to get it, but perhaps we're a weird office
