union& politics?

Post by edward67 »

why are we giving £5 million to mr brown when he treats us like
dirt on the end of his shoe?
also i know it's not much but why didn't our union (as a bit of goodwill)
say they will not stop our subs until the dispute is sorted?
last friday just does not add up to me???

Post by weetrogg »

Its a good ? i know we can withdraw a political levy payment individually but i am badgering my branch sec to organise it so that its withdrawn nationally by the cwu leadership, amotion was put at conference to do this at the next conference, but we shouldnt wait till then we need to act now!!! We should also consider dissaffiliation from the labour party completely and then form some kind of umberella organisation with the f.b.u and the rmt, 5 million is a lot of money to the labour party, they have big debts as it is, if we make the move whos to say the other unions wont join with us after they are being s**t all over as well :mad :mad :mad

WE are the union!!! :nana :nana

union and politics

Post by koffin kev »

interesting post mr eddie67,i went to see my m.p. last week(tom watson--west brom) i asked him this Q.-- why is a labour goverment treating the posties the same way the tories treated the miners?
he assured me there was alot of pressure been put on both parties to do a deal and he was particularly dissparaging about the undynamic duo late-one & dosyer.
but the more we spoke it became obvious he did not know the full picture ,he knew nothing about downstream access and how post com is dictating the rules giving all our compeditors big advantages.
it seems to me we are in the wrong fight--r.m. & c.w. u. should both be hammering the gov to sort out post coms bious thats making the working day of delivery posties a daily nightmare.
i have been a labour boy all my life but im havin serious doubts now, havin said that,id rather pluck me eyes out with a stick than vote tory----where are the monster ravin luny when you need them!!!!!!!

Can anyone confirm the figure of 5 million quid,is that the amount that we donated to Blu-Labour?
The more you know, the worse it gets.
