Post by dennis12 »

Just wondered if anybody could give me clarification on a question I have.We have a new stand in Dom in our office at the moment and he is telling people that you can no longer book single days off ie if you want a Friday off you have to book the whole week.Is this correct and has it been agreed with the union thanks for your replies.

I don't see the problem, you have one day to book and he say's you have to book a week, I'd be booking that week. He will probably allow you to book your day when he realises how silly he is being. Some of them do try it on.

Turning it around slightly why would you still have a weeks holiday to book at this point anyway? All the weeks holidays should have been booked for the entire year anyway from last October time

Hi,
Regarding holidays, do you have to take four complete weeks away from work? if so, where would I find confirmation of this?
Thanks

You won't because there isn't a national agreement on this. However, incomplete weeks are more difficult for managers to resource. :cry
