Moot question now. It was minority public-owned from the initial share issue, so technically the status hasn't changed.

The thing to beware of though is it is now easier for a financed hostile takeover from the likes of TNT to be facilitated via a share-buying campaign - then I'd be out if there was a vote.

I think a strike against privatisation would be deemed a "political" strike and would be illegal.
The union would have all their funds sequestered and would probably cease to exist.
All the current agreements with the legally binding terms and conditions would be ripped up.
It would have to be a last roll of the dice scenario and not one I could see this (or any other) union even contemplating.

Because as a rep you are there to represent all members, not just certain groups you may or may not want to.
