Hello
We are about to have a revision and I am well down the seniority list to get a duty but may be close enough for a cover duty, time will tell on that.
However we've been told that there's a slight possibility that just for example say if it came to my pick and there was 1 duty left that I may not be able to take it because I'd be a 34hrs driver and the partner whose already picked the paired duty is also 34hrs, the driving isn't the issue its saying they may want a 39/34 pairing, unlike the base duties that could have 39/39 or 34/34 pairs.
that would mean a person with several years less in seniority could leapfrog me because they're 39hrs.
I can understand obviously that a non driver can't select a duty if the paired duty had already been taken by another non driver,
but it hardly seems fair if they use the seniority list to select the base duties then its a mix and match for covers and leave reserves.
