attendance review question
I'm hoping someone can offer advice please. My union rep in on holiday this week and I have been issued today with an invite to an attendance review meeting. This is because I have had two absences, one of 5 days and one of 7 days. The first one was through an injury I sustained at work, so I don't believe this counts. My union rep is off this week, and I don't believe this is just reasons to be issuing a stage one. Is there a link to the attendance management policy please. I have seen links on here before for different hr policies. Thanks for any help/advice

Re: attendance review question
You don't get stage for 12 days its 4 absents in 12month period or 14 days which ever is first

Re: attendance review question
Looking at page 45 of the attendence policy (linked below) it states you have the right to union representation
http://www.cwu.org/assets/_files/docume ... nce_Pr.pdf
If your union rep is not available and there is no one else from the union available you should be within your rights to ask for the meeting to be put back until the union rep returns from holiday. That is assuming that this is a formal review meeting and not an informal one

Re: attendance review question
Worth clarifying for you
You have triggered a review, your absence level regardless of cause has taken you over the threshold for a review hence why your getting a review meeting, a review does not mean you have been issued a warning or will be issued one it simply means that your sickness level and reasons why will be formally looked at
You currently have not been issued a stage 1 whether that is issued or not is what is decided at the stage 1 interview(or shortly afterwards)
At the review the details of your absences will be looked at, that's the point when you accident on duty "should" be discounted and then the dom decides whether or not to issue a stage 1 warning or not
