It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: THIEVEING MANAGER
While opgs are usually sacked and prosecuted for theft, managers are often just allowed to resign. Years ago we had a manager who was found to be stealing gold jewellery and selling it on. She had even offered it to other managers at dinner parties at her house.
She was allowed to resign. Of course it might have helped that she was living with a shift manager. He denied any knowledge of her activities, even crying at a team briefing. He was a particularly obnoxious bullying manager who didn't hesitate to sack opgs without going through the agreed procedures, resulting in people being reinstated with compensation. He must have cost RM tens of thousands in legal costs and compensation. He ended up getting moved from mc to mc, but is still working for RM afaik.

Managers that are caught stealing get treated the same if not worse than Opg's.baldrick wrote:While opgs are usually sacked and prosecuted for theft, managers are often just allowed to resign. Re: THIEVEING MANAGER
removed the initials for RMC safety, but I thought it was BT area, it was semi leaked on FB on Friday - hence removing the initials it would zero it down too much, and if he did do it we don't want him off on a technicality.eastie wrote:The manager in question was from the BN area
