Ex postie was invited to join something called tns, now I recieve a tracking device every day with instructions as to what address I should hand write on envelopes....I'll let you lot discuss this one. I will be sending them back to rm as I want no part of being their eyes n ears. Just remember, you are being watched at all times, not just under your frames.

they are test letters and the chips tell them when they arrive and leave delivery office its for measuring quality of service tns are an ok company i do the shop and scans

Dont see whats the problem with these letters, providing you do the job you are paid to do and deliver the mail what could they possibly do to you? If you have to cut off and one of these is on the cut off section what could you do wrong?

Who cares? If you do your job then none of this stuff matters, they can track every letter for all I care.

Well they do need some tests and checks, including people to check that if something is posted at point A then it will be received at point B in an acceptable time scale. Or maybe you think RM should just assume that all mail arrives at its intended destination at the time it should have done because we (and the whole network) is faultless?

As my 10 yr old would say, LOL.

You miss my point, I agree rm need to know everything works fine,,,, he states he sends out EMPTY PACKAGES,,, what is the point in sending out an empty packages?? How is an empty package tracked ?

Because the receiver is expecting it. From the RM perspective, he is a known sender with a set posting date, they are a known receiver an expected receival date. What is unknown to RM and needs to be tested is the journey between the 2 points and that is what I imagine is being tested with an empty package. Can't think of any other reason, and makes sense to me.

Despite looking empty they won't be, otherwise there is no point. Think you can spot it - you can't.



TNS are also an independant company who are not interested in Posties in the slightest. Its how they get the Quality of Service figures. If anything they are auditing on RMs claims not us.
