Sick
No disrespect intended to indoor colleagues, but do our procedures regarding sickness and the conduct code discriminate against the delivery postal worker ? We do indoor crap as well, then put up with all the outdoor chite... As I see it we are way more likely to be damaged at work.

Re: Sick
can,t think what you mean as most indoor staff also do a lot of heavy work try walking round a split for 8 hours a day humping mailsort or dsa bags full of magazines and a manager constantly watching every move you make. also a lot of sick in mc,s cannot see why we should be treated differently.

Re: Sick
Great point. Most posties do not like using trolleys though,it is madness really.I use trolley if the bag is heavy.aiden01 wrote:thought all del staff had a trolley now? also it feels like miles after an 8hr shift.enskied wrote:I get that, but you don't hump that sack for half a mile.

Re: Sick
My trolly isn't motorized nor are all my roads flat, I still have to push or drag it. My point is we are more prone to accident and injury, wear and tear, outside in all weathers. I just think the group wide, one size fits all approach to Sickness procedure leaves the delivery Postman at a disadvantage.2pints wrote:Great point. Most posties do not like using trolleys though,it is madness really.I use trolley if the bag is heavy.aiden01 wrote:thought all del staff had a trolley now? also it feels like miles after an 8hr shift.enskied wrote:I get that, but you don't hump that sack for half a mile.
