Revision question
we are in the process of major change to nearly all the walks in our office, the finishing time will be later on some days (just over 30 mins ),and a resign as been mentioned ,but the Dom is against this, can he stop any resign or does the MTSF agreement hold sway thanks.

Re: Revision question
If it's classed as a revision then the office must have a repick, it's not the doms decision it's in the agreement.

Re: Revision question
For a major change or business driven change for a re-pick to take place the change would have to restructure 331/3% of the total duties within the unit and any duties not affected by the change would be retained by the duty holder unless they volunteer to place their duty into the resign pot.stodgy88 wrote:we are in the process of major change to nearly all the walks in our office, the finishing time will be later on some days (just over 30 mins ),and a resign as been mentioned ,but the Dom is against this, can he stop any resign or does the MTSF agreement hold sway thanks.
Duties also covered by the Equality Act 2010 would be unaffected in the re-pick and would remain and tailored to the duty holders medical condition
However your posting states that nearly all the walks have been adjusted by just over 30 minutes and later on some days and this may not be classed as having a SIGNIFICANT IMPACT as per the Way Forward Agreement and not the MTSF agreement which is mainly for employees who have become displaced through change and have become surplus and therefore as your DOM is insisting may not trigger a re-pick.
Employees whose duties have been adjusted by their starting/finishing times by just over 30 minutes and this has a detrimental effect to their personal arrangements such as child care, collecting children from school would have to inform their DOM that this change does have a significant impact on their private lives and this would have to be taken into consideration but it may not be necessary for a re-pick to take place
Each individual should consult with their local union rep the effect this change is to have on them then union rep can take the decision if a complete resign is to take place.

Re: Revision question
Don't hold your breath.
We had our revision nearly 2 years ago, every duty impacted and as such should of had a resign.
Unfortunately it's worked out that about half the office are happy with their cushy duties - mostly newer members of staff that would end up with less attractive duties or on reserve duties.
Most of the more senior staff have seen their old duties change to the less attractive duties.
Our Union Rep doesn't want a revision as he has a nice cushy duty and would lose it to a more senior member.
Our DOm has never wanted the hassle of a resign and so ignores any requests for one, saying we can have a vote on it (less senior and newbie staff would out number senior staff in any vote)..
Area rep says it's in the agreement so we must have one, but does nothing to enforce the agreement.
We now get told that we'll have a resign in a few months - but then next month that'll be put back again.
Then we had the rumour of a desk top reviosn taking place to address any issues found in our first revision - so any resign delayed till after that.
Desktop revision postponed as we are currently undergoing a £250k rfull office refurb.
Excuse after excuse after excuse.
