Not on a Saturday, but a few years ago one of my workmates was in his local at 7.30pm on a Friday when the postie walked in with the mail.

I was looking through my cut off bags left upstairs in the overtime pile for a packet for a customer and I came across the same part of my round 4 times meaning 4 lots of my city off bags were sitting there from 4 days running. Nobody likes my walk because it's full of pikeys they had to get people in Sunday to do them

Some guy at our office used to do up to 3 walks in one day, about 9pm was his latest finish time. The scum management let this go on for years. He is now on long term sick with a serious medical condition caused by walking far too many miles each day

To be fair, only the individual knows how well they feel. People train for and run marathons which are 26 miles, 3 walks while excessive isn't as physically demanding as that, especially if you use a trolley and take your time. I'm only guessing, but this person most likely went faster than normal to try and finish at a sensible time and in turn injured themselves. So if the postie says they are fit to do the work who is the manager to say different?

I know people would be kicking up far more of a fuss if management were telling people they couldn't do OT.

At the end of the day, health & safety is as much your own responsibility.
