over 50's workload
I seem to recall being told a while ago, that if you were over the age of 50, your delivery span could be reduced due to the natural slowing down process with age. Is this true, and if yes, is it still applicable now.

If you are over 50 pal now is the time together out, one way or the other. If you have the service go for VR if not take a serious look at the IHR. If you are full time the business will happily kick your backside on the way out of the door. Take it from me it's a young fit persons game now. Get out whilst you have your sanity because that's what they will try and attack next

Er no, I'm pushing 50, my regular CDV partner is mid 50's and whenever we say we might not have time to lapse etc they just quote that the 21 year old runners can manage it so why can't we !

I informed him that was grievance material.
Area rep made sure said manager had his wrists slapped.
I know how you feel I'm mid 50's but I have a start and finish time, no running, no carrying, no cutting corners.
It's a good job I don't live with the woman I'm seeing or I might have to get some help in, four nights a week is enough at our age.

Planning Values and workload would not alter however it is only common sense to realise that a 66 year old cannot work as fast as a person of 18 and EP targetry should take this into account. That said all employees should be able to achieve a workrate of at least 75 in my opinion for indoor and outdoor work Dare I say it's all about applying a little common sense ??
