EVR and partimers

EVR and partimers

EVR as been offered in our office ,but partimers are not part of the equation,is this a national thing or decided by each individual office -cheers.

Yes it' a national thing,it's 'their' business plan.
They want to replace full timers with part timers.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

EVR can only be offered if hours are coming out of the office. You cannot backfill vacancies created by EVR.
If the revision activity was simply to take hours out of an office, then p/t could be included in the equation.
If the plan is to remove f/t and replace them with p/t and thus only removing the indoor part of the job, then p/t can't be included.
Although in theory you could offer EVR to a 31 hour contract and backfill with a 25 but that would only remove 6 hours and would probably not be considered as cost effective.

I presume the lawyers have done their stuff but I am surprised you can offer EVR and backfill with p/t staff.
