Hellmail was originally set up to provide postal workers in the Royal Mail a forum for discussion and resolution. During the period of privatisation and the proposed changes from Royal Mail to Sigma there was much discussion and opinion written on the forum surrounding this area.

Hellmail quickly descended into a platform for all forms of negativity towards the Royal Mail in particular, although the original purpose was for an online news depository which included all the latest postal industry news.

The forum in particular became a fighting ground for union representatives with members adding their own take on current projects. Hellmail.co.uk was widely perceived within the industry as a right wing point of view and very anti the original RoyalMailChat and was a non official source for all postal workers.

123connect.co.uk simply hosted hellmail.co.uk but is in no way associated with Hellmail as an organisation or in any other respect.

A website that purports to be an independent Postal News site which has contributors from all levels of the industry. Regrettably its let down by the one the Editors rabid dislike of the Union and its denigration and hatred of a particularly successful Postal Forum.

It appears to be very pro privatisation and fairly right wing in its views and dismisses with contempt any views that have a left wing political bias, very much like Night Tonic does on RoyalMailChat. It also seems not to question received wisdom again like TMan on the same Postal Forum

He has views like HellMail.

Thanks TBT, interesting to say the least. Glad I never went to that website. The vein in my head would be bulging like mad after reading some of the comments on that link. S.H.!.Tstirring of a huge magnitude to say the least. Sounds like all they (Hellmail) wanted to do was to stir up discorded. Linked, allegedly, to RM, according to some people, but never proven.
More like someone who had a beef with their mail delivery and then went on a one man crusade/vendetta against RM?

There was one infamous article which we never copied fully on here but it said of Royalmailchat -

that was the general tone of most of their articles.
