Mistake made craapppp

Woke up this morning and clicked on I might of mistakenly left my collection keys in a red bag collecting the boxes Saturday they'll go to Preston mail centre will these get returned?? Or am I in the doghouse . What I've done is emptied the boxes into a box because there's little mail left my keys together back to office emptied red bag with maybe the keys daft mistake

IF the collection keys are in the red bag that went to Preston mail centre and hopefully they are then in theory they are reasonable secure because they are not technically outwith RM control and if discovered would be returned.
On completing the collection boxes on Saturday does the collection keys not have to be recorded back in by OPG at the same time as returning van keys?
On return to work you will have to notify your manager just in case these keys are not found in red bag and arrangements will have to be made to block pillar boxes on this collection route.
Best scenario keys turn up in red bag at Preston mail centre and depending on your manager a wrap round the knuckles for your carelessness and possibility of counselling or 1 year on your record depending on any previous disciplinary awards.
Worst scenario keys not found and pillar boxes on route to be blocked the possibility of a 2 year serious warning on your record again depending on any previous disciplinary awards.
Get your union rep involved whatever the outcome
