Anyone had similar?

Looking at retraining or asking for redeployment or waiting for the boot and going back to finish college.

Just wondering what to expect from the dark lord that is our Dom.

I was going to say,"It surprises me..." but I won't because it doesn't! We should be able to get a referral to Physiotherapists & Chiropodists through a Royal Mail supported system. Designed to enable Posties to get help with ongoing problems and return to work quicker , after injuries, with the correct help.

Maybe it's a bad comparison, but watch how a medic treats an injured sportsman, straight off the park...Ice...Support..etc. Compare that to the DIY system we have if you sprain or pull a muscle out on delivery. Firstly most of us soldier on and complete the Delivery. We had a Postie in our Office who had a fall and completed the Delivery only to go to A&E and discover they had a fractured arm!(They admitted they were in a bit of pain and with hindsight should have just jacked it..... But people do strange things)

Surely in the long run RM would have a fitter and more efficient workforce if they bothered to look after them? There's got to be a cost saving involved(that should get them to prick up their ears) if you could help prevent Posties having to going sick and/or help them to return to worker quicker after rehabilitation?

I think RM are happy to run the posties into the ground and then replace them with newer models when they break

Think a change of career may be needed if redeployment not an option.
