Billy's campaigners 'allegedly' been a bit naughty

Post by POSTMAN »

From a London Div rep on Facebook including our RMC one...
This Election allows for members to decide who they wish to be General Secretary of the CWU. It is an heathy debate where both Billy's and Dave's supporters can say things which are up for debate.

However I have to sadly report that some low life's who are supporting Billy ( We know who you are ! ) have overstepped the mark. I hope they really are proud of themselves to drop stuff in other branch's mail centres pretending to be in those places and sending it to all mail centres supporting Billy !

But even lower than that is to write to someone's employer trying to get them sacked is out of order and not a trade union thing to do !

But even worse to write and slag of someone's partner off at their home address which you could have only got from CWU HQ is a scum thing to do ! You have really shown that Billy's campaign is not negative ! How pathetic !

If you want to now send something to my home address etc why not contact me and have a chat face to face ?

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

and from another rep in the know:
(snipped personal discussion) ..... The compromise of Billy stepping aside next year aged almost 64 was on the table. He refused it and brought his election forward meaning if elected he will be at least 67 when his term is up. It's not on. Dave wanted a proper transition but was he just supposed to wait forever?

So far, I have had three pieces of electioneering materials through the post for the stuttering buffoon incumbent, four emails and yet nothing from the opposition. The halls of HQ run rife with conniving manipulative low life , who are all out to protect there little safe positions and have no moral compass and will plunge to great depths to protect the inner circle and all their cronies . The self preservation society all need clearing out. It would appear that some are more equal than others.

The incumbent has stumbled from one embarrassing news line to another and should walk away in shame.

Yet at least he stood for his position rather than being appointed to it as if it was a birth rite.

Vote for Dave and bring in the change

Elections can be dirty. But let's face it both sides are at it although attacking loved ones clearly oversteps the mark. It's tragic that whatever the result the CWU is riven with divisions in constituencies, regions and political factions. All our leaders are far more focussed on their own personal careers than promoting and protecting the membership who pay their wages. That applies to the current GS candidates.

Wow, WW3 has broken out in this election, we had a meeting the other day with our senior reps & you now have two camps,Billy's & Dave's each slagging each other off.
Spurious rumours about the candidates makes the members think is it worth voting at all, let's hope when it's all over we go forward as one.

So now Dave is cast in the role of Prince Charles:
Mummy mummy, when is it my turn to rule?

Billy, bent? I knew that years ago, sent him a good few messages criticising him and the way he conducted himself. Obviously he thought he was better than anyone else and rebutted my allegations.

He was one of a few reasons why I chose to leave the CWU, I wasn't keen on the local rep or the top brass.

How any union leader can justify an over the top pay packet is beyond me, no wonder Billy doesn't want to go. Gravy train at platform one.....

No elbow room on platform one where they'll all be vying for any vacant positions after the election. :cuppa

Is this evidence of dirty tricks by Billy's camp or is it dirty tricks by Dave's camp? Since no one can verify any of the comments above I think I would keep an open mind.

My position is that neither candidate deserves my vote, both are equally responsible for the state of the union , equally mired in faction led internal squabbling and to promote Dave as the candidate of change is quite frankly laughable.

Billy is useless in front of the camera but is far more politically aware than Dave, Dave is better at the sound bites but ultimately says nothing of substance and is far too close to Moya Greene for my liking.

Neither can save the union from itself.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

Neither want to ft, it will be the same old same old whatever the outcome. As for the dirty tricks from either side and London Div having been pointed out as perpetrators we all know who's flag is pinned to DWs mast.

Yet another piece of Billy propaganda dop on the mat, from the branch ,yet again paid for by yours truly and all members and as far as I am aware not agreed by either branch or committee.
Who has sanctioned all this electioneering cods wallop . If only it was printed on softer paper then I could find a use or it.
Currently the national membership is @ 200,000. So if HQ send out billy blag the postage alone runs into the 100 s of thousands never mind the cost of the shiny double sided BS contained with in . Who decided that we the membership would be happy with that?
If every branch is sending out more BS on the GS's behalf the cost can be doubled.
Comrades this is your money that is spent on a whim to preserve the status quo.
Billy's camp must have seen their arse and are now grasping at straws.
I have already made my choice.
Vote Dave Ward.

Well it doesn't help your choice making extravagant claims highlighted. Get real, the status quo will still be the situation after the election regardless of who wins, if you believe the blurb that there is going to be great changes within the union structure you need to stop smoking the waccy baccy.
