Quick attendence procedure question?

Post by Cyclopz »

This has probably been asked many times before so apologies for that.

A stage 1 is issued when the following standards are breached.

"4 absences or 14 days in a 12 month period."

Now 4 absences is quite clear but 14 days is not.
Does the 14 days mean if I total all my sick absences and they come to 14 days or over I will be issued a stage 1 or does it mean
if I have one absence for 14 days or more I will be issued a stage 1?

I mean if I have 3 absences within a 12 month period and those three absences are each five days will I be issued a stage 1?
The total days taken with my three absences will be 15 days and although I have not had four absences within a 12 month period
will I still be issued a stage 1?

I hope my question is clear.
Many thanks.
I spend my life trying to fit in but I always end up standing out.

It's the total number of days so yes 3 absence of 5 days will trigger a stage 1 review

Some absences will be discounted if they are work related so see your union rep ASAP.
