We all know the new start times are crap and that there are people who have been kept on the 5am starts for special reasons, but what I would like a union man to answer is the following question:
I would like to know that if my circumstances should change, for example if me and my wife decide to have at least one kid, would i be elligible to start at 5am, to finish at 1pm should i need to if we happen to put said child in a nursery? After all, this would be a special circumstance, would it not?

you can apply for a change of hours at any time That is your legal right

RM don't give a s**t what your circomstances are,,,,,,,

I have a child under 6 , wife works p/T with conflicting hours

1 to 1 with DOM

result = wife will have to accomodate RM's new times........

Ask for a full written response detailing reasons for refusal
You can only be refused for business reasons not personal circumstances
