Post office services open, but no mail available for delivery

Debbie McGee, acting postmaster for the U.S. Post Office in Florence, said the mail would not run today for any cities or towns in the 356 area, which includes cities and towns in Colbert, Franklin and Lauderdale counties.

McGee said they did not receive any mail because of the widespread snow across the region. Even though the mail will not run, most post offices in the area have their customer service window open for people needing to conduct other business at the post office.
