The 3 managers in my office never take out mail that they can't get delivered by means of bullying, offering ghost overtime, implying that the lieu day somebody asked for is conditional upon clearing a couple of streets etc. They just sod of at their usual time and it's tough s**t to the customers and to hell with the ramifications. Somebody can clear double mail the following day. Job's a good "un.

Can't really understand what's going on with RM at the moment... all the offices I'm familiar with are being ran on a skeleton staff with DOM's having to do deliveries and/or begging and pleading for posties to do overtime, yet in other areas offers of VR with pay in lieu seem to be getting thrown around like confetti

That's simple Wacko - RM are trying to make ALL the offices like the ones that you are familiar with - the principle being that they will never lose money when it is quiet and the staff will be battered into performing to arbitrary standards when it's busy
