Dunno exactly, but I would guess that as it's in administration, the administrators can still honour contracts where it's prudent to do so and no costs occur to City Link. So if they have an old contract still running today for those items you mention, and they can fulfil the contract by subbing them out to RM or other companies and still take their cut, the administrators are perfectly within their rights to do so.

P.S. Did anyone see the documentary on City Link made before its collapse? That Asian lad who worked like a whippet delivering silly amounts paid-per-item and bought himself a nice second-hand Bentley. Brilliant.

Yes but he ended up unemployed and with Citylink gone bust owing him £6k of which the liquidators told him he would probably only get £60. He might have to sell the Bentley now.

I even felt sorry for their Coventry hub manager who put in all that effort to get their new automated parcel sorting system up and running in time for the Christmas pressure, only to learn on Christmas Day, like everyone else, that the company had gone into liquidation and he was redundant.

anybody watch the Mayfair episode ? its great to see that capitalism is working for some people !! £10,000 per week to rent this one particular property ! the two estate agents were loving it !! there are some great eccentric characters on there and the best gig in town seems to be being a landlord . a new band of super rich seem to be moving in and thus displacing a lot of the old tenants who can no longer afford the new rents being asked . the estate agent said it was great because we would all benefit because of the trickle down effect ?? anyone you know called Fuzzy Bear !!?? well worth a watch !!
