Purple Royal Mail Tracked sticker.

had a packet today, with sticker 'Royal Mail tracked' in black on purple background, same type face/ Font as ours but square not round, it didn't prevent me initially logging on scanner and looking for a barcode, of which there was not one, and
it wasn't a tracked.
For wasting my time.
Guess what they have to do now!

Same with trackers why is there no sticker to peel off for any notice lefts ( god forbid I had one!)

Maybe it's unusual at our place but not a single one of our parcels arrives from the MC with a purple sticker on it. We have someone at our DO who sticks these on as they're removed and zapped from the york. They also put the stickers from the same reel on the international specials to make them more apparent on delivery. It's only been happening a few months here but seems like a v good idea.

Had a parcel with 'signed for' written on, but there was no barcode so just gave it straight to customer. Ten minutes later customer chasing after me saying i forgot to get signature.

The new Tracked stickers are now rectangular, replacing the round ones.

Well, it seems to make sense. The guy has to manually zap every packet as he picks it out anyway and now there's a roll of these stickers hooked onto the york he's working from. Okay, it's an extra process for him to peel off a sticker and whack it on but I reckon it's only a few moments at most each day once a few yorks are cleared (it's not a massive DO) and it must have made many more of the dozy posties realise that these items needed scanning on delivery. Apparently our performance on tracked improved massively as soon as this was implemented.

i had one which said tracked in small writing with fake barcode on not ending in GB

In our office When Phg scans the tracked items first thing, he puts a purple sticker on all the ones that haven't got one on.As he scans them he puts a line across the purple sticker with a pen. This way we know it has been scaned on arrival , if it's not got a purple sticker on with a line on it we take it to the cage to be scanned .

When you collect them from the locker just write 'special' on any international ones, then you won't forget.

Thing is, we don't have a locker to collect them from. They come up to our sub office with the other mail
