Although its now the Equality Act.

You're disabled under the Equality Act 2010 if you have a physical or mental impairment that has a ‘substantial’ and ‘long-term’ negative effect on your ability to do normal daily activities.

What ‘substantial’ and ‘long-term’ mean
‘substantial’ is more than minor or trivial - eg it takes much longer than it usually would to complete a daily task like getting dressed
‘long-term’ means 12 months or more - eg a breathing condition that develops as a result of a lung infection
There are special rules about recurring or fluctuating conditions, for example, arthritis. For more details about the special rules download the ‘Equality Act Guidance’.

i have it on my left knee . does this mean im covered by the dda?/ equality act?

this is what i'm wondering how long have you done at royal mail , we should be able to claim for wear and tear now like those in noisy jobs effecting their hearing

done 25 years , mostly delivery , my body is knackered and they want us to work till 65? how ?. in my office theres loads of guys on sick the office is full off people walking wounded anyone over 50 is nearly always moaning about bad backs , shoulders wrists knees ankles feet lol and me tooo . please rm if ur reading this offer me a reasonable offer and ill gladly accept
