Our bosses would rather check footwear and badges and save cash on laggy bands rather spend on van servicing.
We do our daily/weekly checks and try and look after our vans but it's hard to get spares , screenwash , deicer or wiper blades , fixing tyres takes months . All we get is a new tax disc (now finished, freeing up more time for them) and an mot if over 3 years old.
With all the tradegies in the news I can see a rm vehicle losing control soon. :evil/mad AND WHO'LL GET THE BLAME? US. :evil/mad
Why are lino's paid full-time ??

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

In our region a manager and postman have jointly been suspended pending an investigation regarding a van crash and an illegal tyre on the van. Apparently the police are involved. Both knew of the illegal tyre, but agreed to ignore it due to pressures of work at the time. A warning for all I think.

Yes I think we will have to take matters into our own hands and get them to garage bypassing the lazyboy managers .
